Rangefinder is Salsa's confidence-building trail hardtail designed for riders who want to start discovering their local trail systems. It offers geometry and spec designed for the perfect introduction to mountain biking, opening up singletrack and doubletrack adventures.
The frame features 6061-T6 alloy construction with internally-routed shift, brake, and dropper post housing. A 120mm suspension fork provides front suspension travel, while the dropper post offers 100mm travel on XS–SM sizes and 125mm travel on MD–XL sizes.
Rangefinder is equipped with a 1x drivetrain that keeps shifting simple with plenty of gear range, and hydraulic disc brakes offer confident stopping power. The bike is compatible with 29" or 27.5 plus wheels and tires, allowing riders to customize their setup.
The frame includes integrated provisions for bikepacking and adventure riding, with an integrated top tube bag mount, two bottle cage mounts on M, L, and XL sizes, one accessory mount under the down tube, and rear rack mounts. The geometry is specifically designed to grant confidence to newer mountain bikers.
